God’s Gift of Creativity: Shaping Students Through the Arts

At Stetson Baptist Christian School, the arts play a crucial role in student development by enhancing cognitive skills, boosting creativity, and improving academic performance. To foster this growth, we offer a diverse range of programs, including band, music, visual arts, and performing arts, providing students with opportunities to explore and express their talents.

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
Ephesians 3:10

Visual Arts

We believe that everyone is an artist―because God is an artist and we are created in His image! Our Art program is all about building a strong foundation where we discover, develop and deploy our God-given creativity to capture the beauty in the world around us, express our feelings and communicate ideas. All grade levels explore the Elements & Principles of Art and gain an understanding of and appreciation for a variety of artists and styles.

Band

At Stetson Baptist Christian School, we offer a comprehensive band program where students can choose from a variety of instruments, including drums, saxophone, violin, trumpet, and more. Music education enhances cognitive development, focus, and creativity. Students practice as a class and perform in several concerts throughout the year, providing valuable opportunities to develop musical skills, build confidence, and work as a team—all while enjoying the lifelong benefits of music.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts Club is made up of middle school students with a passion for music and theater. We cover many facets of performing arts such as singing, acting, script writing, staging, props, choreography, costuming, and even filming. We do performances inside and outside of school and we compete in the FACCS Junior Fine Arts competition. Each student will find something they excel at and are encouraged to push themselves beyond their own comfort zones in that particular domain. If your student has an interest in any part of this, we welcome them with open arms.

Music

Our music program is built on a foundation of worship. At each stage of life, students learn characteristics of their Heavenly Father through instruments, reading music, singing, and movement. As they age, classes dive deeper and deeper into musical worship to discover how it interacts with every aspect of their lives.
